The Full Story
Fables & Charms began in one of the most difficult chapters of my life.
I’ve always been an artist — first through poetry, then through the quiet rituals of crafting. Words were my way of navigating the world, of making sense of beauty and ache. But when complex regional pain syndrome took the use of my hands, I lost that outlet completely. I couldn’t write. I couldn't think in poetry. I couldn’t create. I felt severed from the part of myself that had always kept me steady.
So I began again — slowly, painfully, stubbornly.
I picked up thread and beads and feathers, not because it was easy, but because I needed a way back to myself. Crafting dreamcatchers became both therapy and rebellion: a way to strengthen my hands, to reclaim movement, to reclaim art. Each piece was a small victory, a quiet spell of resilience.
What started as healing turned into a calling.
Those first dreamcatchers grew into suncatchers, charms, manifestation kits, and finally into Fables & Charms — a mythic marketplace where every item is made with intention, patience, and love.
My hands still hurt. Each creation takes time.
But that’s what makes them special.
These aren’t just products — they’re crafted to become part of your story. Made slowly, intentionally, and with a kind of care that asks you to pause, breathe, and choose the pieces that speak to who you’re becoming.
Fables & Charms exists because art saved me.
And now, I hope these small, magical things bring a little light and wonder into your world, too.
